Air Arc Gouging is a thermal cutting process. The process uses carbon/graphite electrode, a power source and compressed air. This blows the metal away, leaving a clean gouge.
The gas cutting process is a flame of fuel gases, commonly used as acetylene and oxygen. This heats the area and a stream of oxygen is injected through the flame which burns through the steel.
